Center for Renewal

The mission of the Center for Renewal is to renew the saints and the church so that the light of Christ can be more brightly reflected in the world. The Center began in 2005 out of the shared vision of the president of Grand View University and the bishop of the Southeastern Iowa Synod. To begin this journey toward renewal, the Center for Renewal promotes discussion, offers events and provides services designed to foster and support renewal in the congregations of our synod – and beyond.

Companion Synod: Pare Diocese, Tanzania

Companion Synod – Pare Diocese

The companion synod program of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) allows synods to be paired up with a synod or diocese of the Lutheran Church somewhere else in the world. The Southeastern Iowa Synod is blessed to have as our companion synod the Pare Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (ELCT) in Same, Tanzania in Africa.
