Every Member a Missionary
20/20 Vision is all about telling the good news of Christ through the start of new ministries. Already in 2006, we have allocated funds for St. Paul Lutheran Church in Des Moines, and Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Altoona. The central aspect of our 20/20 Vision program is to encourage sponsorship of new ministry starts by congregations, clusters of congregations, and individuals by way of financial gifts to the Southeastern Iowa Synod Mission Fund. It is through this fund that gifts are available for new ministry starts, providing another opportunity for every member to be a missionary. Center for Renewal
The mission of the Center for Renewal is to renew the saints and the church so that the light of Christ can be more brightly reflected in the world. The Center began in 2005 out of the shared vision of the president of Grand View College and the bishop of the Southeastern Iowa Synod. To begin this journey toward renewal, the Center for Renewal promotes discussion, offers events and provides services designed to foster and support renewal in the congregations of our synod – and beyond.Cherish Our Children
