20/20 Vision & The James Company
Every Member a Missionary
20/20 Vision is all about telling the good news of Christ through the start of new ministries. Already in 2006, we have allocated funds for St. Paul Lutheran Church in Des Moines, and Abiding Savior Lutheran Church in Altoona. The central aspect of our 20/20 Vision program is to encourage sponsorship of new ministry starts by congregations, clusters of congregations, and individuals by way of financial gifts to the Southeastern Iowa Synod Mission Fund. It is through this fund that gifts are available for new ministry starts, providing another opportunity for every member to be a missionary. Annual Offering
The Southeastern Iowa Synod and its 20/20 Vision Ministry Team invite congregations to participate in the 20/20 Vision Special Offering. It is an important and meaningful way to partner in proclaiming the Gospel and making Christ known. Click here for materials.
The James Company Mutual Benefit Appeal
The Southeastern Iowa Synod, at its assembly in June, adopted a proposal to work with The James Company in providing resources for congregations in the areas of stewardship and capital appeals over the next three years. The Mutual Benefit Appeal also fosters a partnership in mission as each participating congregation makes a commitment to share a percentage of new money from the program to the Synod Mission Fund and 20/20 Vision. This will be an exciting venture over the next three years. Click here for more details.
